Synology Server - Netgear GS308E Switch - Ubiquiti Access Point
Hi guys,
I am not an IT expert so please bear with me!
I am trying to set up a Synology server in my office, which will be plugged into four iMac computers using a Netgear Switch (GS308E).
I also want to plug this into a Ubiquiti Access point and finally into our ethernet connector box which comes out of the floor.
Can someone help me with how these are connected, and if I am doing this correctly? Does the netgear switch connect directly to the small white box that comes out the floor, then everything (AP, 4x iMacs, Synology) connect into the Netgear Switch?

That small white box (usually) is the power injector for the access point.
So it should go ethernet cable from wall---->switch----->to power injector----->to access point
with your other devices connected to the switch.
That ensures the power from the injector is supplying the AP.

Thanks a lot - that's really helpful to know!
Cheers
