XS728T does not connect to PC through ethernet cable
We just got a few new netgear XS728T and XS748T switches for replacing some older 1G ethernet switches. In general, the hardware installation went through without clitches. The activitity leds lights...

Does this behavior only happen on one XS728T or on multiple switches?
You could try doing the following such as:
- Performing a Factory Defaults and/or reboot
- Performing a loopback test by connecting two ends of the Ethernet cable on the same switch (ex. port 1 to port 10 on the same switch)
If the port LEDs are still not lighting up, then most likely it's a defective switch and if it's a recent purchase, you may contact the reseller to have it replaced.

- schumakuApr 25, 2022Guru - Experienced UserShould your cabling (to the PC in question) bot allow GbE, eg. because of not all four pairs are workable, or the PC does not have a GbE capable adapter - these switches don't support 10M/100M Ethernet/Fast Ethernet links, only 1G and 10G.
