Ethernet has Self-assigned IP Address Issues
Was replacing my old DL 1008G switches with the GS316. Using Arris Modem and Eero Pro 6 router. Have 15 Ethernet cables. Unplugged and plugged into the new GS316 and now some stuff works on ethernet and some shows this message "Ethernet has a self-assigned IP address" message. One iMac and one Roku will connect wired and the other computer and Roku will only connect wirelessly. I have powered down and powered up all to no avail. Everything was working fine with my old DL-1008G's.
Any suggestions?

Unmanaged switches don't do any packet checking, ip assignments, etc. they're plug and play. In my experience, they either work 100% or not at all. I haven't seen them be hit or miss unless an ethernet port was bad itself.
It should have the port led's. are they lighting up when devices are plugged in?
Have you reset the router at all?
Or made sure there isn't any loop back issues?
