GS208 - Not able to ping devices in the network
Hi everybody,
I'm new here and I'm writing because I bought a GS208 some months ago. Right now I'm using it to connect two different computers on the same network. The problem is that I'm not able to ping one computer ip address from the prompt of the other computer, while I'm able to do so directly connecting the two with an ethernet cable.
How do I solve this problem?
Thanks

Do the port LEDs of the connected devices show an active Ethernet link (on) and activity (flashing)?

Yes, they do.

The fact is that I can see the ip address of the other computer from the prompt (with the netgear device in between), but I cannot ping it. I also turned off the firewall protection on both the computers, but it didn't work.

Explain on how you can see (or discover) the IP of the other computer on the network.
And tell the community a little bit more about these two computers. LAN IP addresses, subnet masks of both for example.
