Modem ethernet to switch not working

My office has a hardwired ethernet outlet. I get connectivity if I plug a device (computer, Xbox and tv) directly in the outlet. My issue is if I connect my GS108 switch to the outlet I have no internet and the switch lights are not on.

Someone is in control of the hardware and it's configuration that feeds the Ethernet outlet in your office.  You need to address this question to that someone.

Sorry, it is my home office.

Where does the feed to the hardwired Ethernet outlet box connect to your local network?

You are going to have to describe/communicate all of the pieces to your local network.  Start with the modem/ONT that is your connection to the internet and work towards the router, switches, computers, and other connected devices.  It really helps for you to use brand names and model numbers for each piece.
