Netgear FS205 drops offline

I am using a netgear fs205 as a switch.  I am connecting a few devices to my network.  The network keeps dropping offline.  when I connect to a different switch or directly to the router, the problem doesn't happen.  It's a new switch.  Is it defective?

    Welcome to the community, daro346 Just to be sure, did you try using a different ethernet cable?

    If it's the same, I suggest that you get a replacement.
