Netgear FS308v2 won't run off UPS battery when power down
I have a KSTAR 400-2000VA UPS. I run the power supply to the switch through the UPS and it works fine, but when the power goes down, the switch switches off. It won't run off the UPS battery. How do I fix this?

Welcome to our community! :)
Is this the only device plugged in the UPS? How about the other devices, did they turn off too? Have you tried to isolate it by plugging in another device on your UPS? I don't think that there is an issue with the switch here as this will only power up if there is enough power that feeds into it.

Thank you.
The other devices that are plugged in include two wi-fi routers and the dish through which we get internet (we do not have fixed-line internet, we have wireless as we are in a remote area). If I disconnect the other devices, the switch is still not powered.
The UPS output voltage is 238V with the power connected, whilst the output voltage drops to 222V when it's offline. Will this make a difference?

The UPS designation is a little bit vague, many different KSTAR UPS models in the market.
One could just imagine that the compareably inexpensive Netgear electronic power supply is either broken or critical to the waveform of the UPS delivered power. The voltage drop alone should not cause an issue, as both line and battery-feeded voltage looks sufficient.
Is this a relatively new switch, or a unit in operations for a very long time (like years)?
