No internet with switch

Question

COnnected two waysfirst i ran my cat cable to the switch to my av preamp, nas,mesh. my av has lan ports all used. switch blinked as if signal was coming and going but nothing worked.&nbsp;I then ran the lan to mesh unit first and then to the switch...blinking lights but nothing worked

Hi,&nbsp;&nbsp;I had the same problem, I had to just unplug my switch and plug it back in again and they worked.&nbsp;ridd&nbsp;

Very vague. Is there any Ethernet port connecting to the LAN connected to a router where LAN IP addresses are assigned and providing Internet access to this network?

From router to mesh. Mesh Ethernet cable to wall to other side of house . Lan cable to switch routed to other devices. All light flickering but no service.

Unplugged and reverted back at which point it all worked again. I am just short on connections

Adding a switch e.g. to a common router LAN port is in general trouble-free, so one can connect more devices there, or even trunk to another switch.
