Smart TV and Unmanaged Switch GS305v3
Hi
I have recently purchased a couple of GS305v3 unmanaged switches. I have also wired some ports from near my hub to the living room. I use the ports to connect my laptop, games console and TV. The games console and laptop work fine.
However, the TV doesn't see the connection to the hub when connected via the switch. It is fine connected from the port that I have wired in direct to the hub but not via the switch. I have tried different ports and different cables including the ones that are used for the laptop and games console and I have rebooted everything a number of times.
Anyone have any thoughts or know any reason that the switch might inhibit the signal from the TV to the hub?

the gs305v3 is a simple unmanaged switch. It really has nothing in it to block/obstruct the connection.
Did you re-run the network setup on the tv when you connected it?
Make sure to uses a good quality cat 6 cable. Some devices are more sensitive to sketchy cables
