Switch GS108v4

Hi, I have just purchased a Switch GS108v4 and have a basic question. Does it require a specific cable for the connection to the router? Does the cable to the router need to be plugged into a specific port?

    a decent quality cat 5e or better cable.

    And you can use any port on the gs108. Its an unmanaged switch so any one will work.
