UNMANAGED SWITCHES
NEED TO REPLACE MY UNMANAGED FS108 SWITCH AS MY INTERNET SPEED HAS INCREASED TO 300 MBPS . NEED AN 8 PORT WHAT IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR REPLACEMENT (MODEL NUMBER) ?

Welcome to the community! :)
Since your internet speed you are subscribed with has increased to 300Mbps, I think what you need is to change the firewall router that you have that supports a LAN-to-WAN throughput greater that 300Mbps. However, if you just want to replace your old FS108 unmanaged switch with a new one, I recommend you the GS108v4. Kindly check its specifications on the data sheet here.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR ADVISE . I WILL BUY GS108 AN INTALL IT. AS FAR AS THE ROUTER CONCERNED . MY ROUTER IS AN AIRPORT EXTREME AND DOES SUPPORT SPEEDS UP TO 1GB. ALSO STRANGELY ENOUGH WITH MY FS108 SWITCH I AM GETTING 300 SPEED ON ONE PORT AND LESS THAN 100 (40 TO 50 MBPS) IN THE OTHER 6 PORTS.

ONE MORE QUESTION ON AMAZON THEY ADVERTISE THE GS108 SWITCH AS GS108 WITHOUT THE 8v4 affix . I AM ASSUMING IS THE SAME SWITCH. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG
