BR200 automatic Failover for ISP

Question

I'm having a lot of downtime recently from my primary ISP. I have the BR200 as the first connection to my network from my cable modem. I would like to add a second connection from a different ISP with an automatic failover so when an outage occurs in my primart ISP, i can retain some functionality. How would I do this with the BR200 Insight VPN Router? If its not possible, what are my options?

What you want to implement is not possible since the BR200 only has one (1) WAN port.&nbsp; You may want to post your concern on the Idea Exchange for Business board here.&nbsp; In this way, the development team can see what feature does BR200 users wanted to be added to the functionality of the product. Be reminded that the more kudos given by community members to your feature request will help as the development team will be reviewing the post that has the most kudos and might get considered to be implemented.&nbsp;

[..]And I would say: don't bother. I've been told by none other than a Netgear support team member that BR200 is an End-Of-Life product and any fixes it might receive will be security fixes only. I suggest you cut your losses and invest your time and money in a brand that doesn't EOL its "business" gear less than a year after announcing it.&nbsp;BTW, if&nbsp;MrJoshW stumbles upon this, I'd be happy to get any update on that RMA I've been promised.

Man that's&nbsp;frustrating. You're right DaneA&nbsp;. How in the world is this an "EOL" product already!?&nbsp;When I was deciding on what ecosystem to invest in for my restaurant locations i had so many assurances that Netgear&nbsp;was "committed to the insight platform and hardware". Unfortunately&nbsp;that doesn't&nbsp;seem to be the case at all. I have have thousands invested in insight hardware between 6 locations and somehow they all seem to be "End-of-life" products. I should have gone with my gut and thrown my lot in with cisco. I guess i backed the wrong horse.

I know, right? In the hindsight, shouldn't have trusted our business' needs to a company that makes its living of "robot spider from the outer space" gamer/"enthusiast" routers, I guess?&nbsp;Fun Fact:Speaking of gaming routers, inside BR200's enclosure sits a Nighthawk X4 (7500) / X4S (7800) board with most of the components (all the WiFi stuff) unpopulated. It shares the&nbsp;Qualcomm IPQ8065 processor with Nighthawk 7800 but with double the RAM (1GB vs 512MB). The design seems virtually unchanged from Nighthawk 7500 which dates back to 2014. Now, I'm not saying it's an inherently bad thing to reuse your existing product designs to save on NRE costs as long as the thing does what it is supposed to do. But in this particular case it's really hard for me not to feel dissapointed as the "let's slap this old thing in a serious-looking, metal, rack-mountable enclosure and call it a day" vibe this thing has going is a bit too strong for my taste. Ever wondered why there are no USB ports on this thing? It would certainly make sense to have an option for a WLAN failover using a mobile broadband USB stick, right? Well, the original Nighthawk had two of them, but they were mounted on the tapered side of the device, sitting at an angle. The PCB itself is shaped to follow the original product's enclosure design so there just wasn't any sensible way to mount them on BR200. But don't think they have carefully adapted the software to the missing features in order to make more room for seriuos "business" functionality or anything: the USB drivers and stuff still load during startup as I found out by hooking into the serial console. Also, the thing literally complains that it cannot find any of the WiFi hardware when it boots.&nbsp;Bonus Fun Factoid:While looking through the filesystem, I found there's a copy of aMule software so I'm pretty sure that with a bit of work you could get that latest Britney album download going like it's 2005 if you were so inclined.&nbsp;

I believe this discussion was up with the BR500 as well.The discussion was around ability to parallel connect to two devices with one WAN each and allowing them to act as main and backup through LAN.
