BR500 reset after power failure
BR500 resets to factory (sort of) after power failure. Also DHCP assisgns twice the same address to differnet device. Could not restore the backup config. Page loading is terribly slow. I only had he...

I did reset to factory defaults, re configure the router, but DHCP was still assigning the same IP address to two different devices (with different MAC address), and this for 1 to 3 IPs (6 devices, not always the same)
I downgraded the firmware to 5.7.0.4, reset to factory, re-configure, same problem.
I put back 5.8.0.1, reset to factory, re-configure again, same problem.
Then during the night there was a loss of power, so I just left it off for the night, then next day, power on, the router was reset to factory! I tried to re-load configuration from a backup, but it refused the backup with a multitude of 'error pop up windows', so re-configure manually, reboot and try again the backup, it seemed to work, but sitll with the DHCP problem and slow, veerrrry slow detection of connected devices ( like a minute or so).
Don't know what to do now, I have an R8000 (works great!), GC110 and GC510P switches, but this router just gave headaches so far, I thinking about returning it and buy another brand if I can not solve this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
P.S. I was thinking of using the router (3 of them) for the office as an upgrade, but I have to admit I have to re-think about it now. I do not want to bring this sort of problem to the shop.

Hello,
What are the devices that are reporting the same IP address? Anyway to check in the local interface of those devices if a static IP address has been assigned? Anyway to check the local interface of the BR500 to see if the MAC addresses for either device has the IP address bound to them?
If you can, can you disconnect and re-connect the one of the devices and look in the BR500 logging at the time to see how it is assigning it an IP address?

The device varies, sometimes a printer gets the same address as an esp32 board , sometime my smart TV will get the same address as a computer on the LAN.
For example, turn on the printer, it gets the same address as the TV, ok so then I turn off the printer, wait a bit a then power on the printer but the router assigns it the same IP as the smart TV, I then turn off the TV instead, reboot the TV, but same problem. So far the only thing to make it work is not to reboot the router and wait over a day, then addresses problems seems to stabilize...(if we can say that). Maybe as hints;
1. No more than 2 devices are assigned the same IP (with different MACs) and it can happen multiples times (multiple pairs of same IP to 2 devices)
2. Not related to an address in particular, i.e. any address in the DHCP pool.
3. Not realted to any device in particular, any device connected to the network.
4. It seems to be OK after the router is up for a day or so. (if I reboot the router, problem starts).
5. Fixed IPs are OK.
Hope this helps to troubleshoot.

If you assign them fixed IP's do the devices obtain another IP address before obtaining the fixed IP? What do you see in the logs of the BR500 at the time when it is assigning IP addresses? Does it report any errors on leasing out duplicate IPs? Other than the GC switches do you have any other switches or access points in the network?
