fvs318gv2 loosing intenet, HTB: quantum of class 10001 is big consider r2q change
I have several VPN firewalls that loose internet connection intermittenly. The log shows this, HTB: quantum of class 10001 is big consider r2q change. Also could show 11024 instead of 10001 or both. ...

Thanks for posting the info about the MTU change. We've been having a similar issue for weeks, I adjusted the MTU size from default (1500) to 1492 a couple of days ago after seeing this and I haven't had an outage since. I am seeing some new messages in the logfile though, about every two hours I get something like:
Fri Jan 6 15:40:06 2017((GMT-0600)) [FVS336GV3][Kernel][KERNEL] Port 0 receive error code 4, packet dropped
Fri Jan 6 15:40:06 2017((GMT-0600)) [FVS336GV3][Kernel][KERNEL] Port 0 receive error code 4, packet droppedDoes anyone know what "error code 4" means and whether it's anything to be concerned about?

Dear community,
I think I can add something to this thread. We are facing the same problems with a FVS336v3 (bigger brother) and same firmware version (4.3.3-6).
We have 2 different WANs connected to the device. When the quantum-messages appear the device is restarting the IPv4-Stack only for WAN2, which is currently a backup for WAN1. But despite WAN1 being responsible for the normal internet traffic, any internet connection is broken for about 2 minutes.
To answer the other questions (maybe we are facing totally different problems with same outcome):
- What is the firmware version currently installed on the FVS318Gv2?
- 4.3.3-6
- Do you have QoS configured on the FVS318Gv2?
- No.
- What changes have you made before you experienced the issue?
- None for about 5 months.
- Do you lose the internet connection only when VPN is connected?
- As there are coworkers connected vie IPSec almost all the time during working hours and we only notice these problems when internet is down I cannot tell wether it only happens when VPN is established.
- Do you have firewalls rules setup?
- Yes. Mainly outbound rules to seperate the traffic for the 2 WANs.
Best regards

Getting same problem with FVS318Gv2, firmware: 4.3.4-2
QOS, no
Have to restart it a lot because it will just stop communicating with the cable modem.
several instances of "HTB: quantum of class 11024 is big. Consider r2q change." in log prior to crash.

I should have added that the fvs318gv2 is only a few weeks old and did not do this until 2 days ago... have had to restart it 3 times already today, considering sending it back for a refund and getting another brand. The lack of support after reading through these forums is concerning.

OK, I take back what I said about lack of support. Since my firewall was new, I was able to open a support ticket received some help that appears to have solved the issue. I was advised to change the MTU size from 1500 to 1492. You change it under WAN settings: Network Configuration -> Broadband -> Advanced, so far, after doing this, I've not had to restart the firewall.
