FVS318V2 "[IKE] ERROR: couldn't find configuration." - VPN not working

I am trying to access the FVS318V2 from a remote location with a mac/iphone.

I have setup VPN in two different ways.

1: Via L2TP Server

2: Via IKE

I set all parameters on osx/iphone accordingly to what I set in the server but I don't get connection.

Via L2TP server I get this in the VPN Log:
[IKE] ERROR:  Could not find configuration for (IP Address)
And the client says "L2TP server does not respond"

Via IKE I get this in the VPN Log:
"[IKE] ERROR:  couldn't find configuration."
And the client connects, disconnects and says nothing at all.

For setting up I followed these instructions:

For L2TP
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24393/~/configuring-an-l2tp-vpn-tunnel-to-prosafe%2Fprosecure-routers
However, the VPN-Client from OSX and iPhone insists on a preshared key, even though it is not mentioned at all in that tutorial. So I tried any key and the key I set in the IKE policies.

For IKE
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24242/~/mac-os-x-vpn-client-install-with-prosafe-vpn-firewall%2Frouter
But I tried with the native OSX VPN client. The Client suggested in that tutorial does not work at all.

I followed these tutorials to the letter. My settings in the router are exactly like it (except to local/remote identifiers and passwords).

I have quadruple checked all settings in my vpn clients.

I'm stuck.
