Configure switch in "ring"
Hi,
I would like to know if there is any special configure to configure Netgear switch in "ring", I mean 1x SFP cable from Switch 1 -> Switch 2 -> Switch 3 -> Switch 4 -> then one to Switch 1.
Thanks!
Hello ChristISM,
The GS728TPS' are the only ones that are stackable. I'm thinking you can stack the 3 GS728TPS' and cascade the other 3 switches to them. If you will connect the switches by using thier SFP ports, I am afraid it might cause a loop.
Thanks,

Hi! and thanks :)
sorry for delay, it's crazy out here :D
We have :
- 3x GS728TPS
- 2x GS724Tv3
- 1x GS724Tv4
Are they all able to be stack? Instead, I assume I can use the stack fiber cable between each switch in ring topology but is there any modification I need to do?
