FVS336G working great untill I got an iPad3
I own 2 FVS336G (vers 3.0.7-24) firewalls and use them for a VPN between home and my wife's office. I use an Apple Airport Extreme for my WiFi (home) but have the Netgear handle the DHCP. For a coup...
I was really hopeful since I had messed around with my DNS server settings. DYNdns has a service called "Internet Guide" which is much like Google DNS.
I first [1] tried the DYN DNS server addresses on the iPad but it didn't work. Next [2] I set the FVS to Default "Get Automatically from ISP" and left the iPad with the DYN DNS addresses. No Good
As you suggested, I did the same with the GoogleDNS... [1] with both the iPad and FVS pointed at the DNS servers, and [2] with the FVS in default and the still pointed at Google. Again, no Internet for the iPad... In both instances I made sure to "Apply" the new settings, and did a reboot and double check to make sure the settings were right.
Still seems that my problem is not a common problem. Are there other settings I might have messed up that would block an iPad but not all the other Apple & PC hardware I have?
