Ideas for new guest network
Hi All,
Currently we have a Netgear Firewall FVS336G and a Netgear Prosafe Switch JGS524E, we have two ISPs and use both WAN ports on the firewall.
We would create a separate network, with the following specs:
- Do not touch the existing network configuration/structure
- The guest network should use only 1 ISP (that will be shared with the other network)
- The guest network will have 10 clients max

What hardware would you suggest to use?
Thanks,
Cristian

Hello cosac,
Welcome to the community!
There is a feature on the FVS336G that might be able to accomplish what you are looking for. Please check the reference manual, see page 129 (Manage IPv4 Multihome LAN IP Addresses on the Default VLAN).
If you have more questions, the community is happy to help.
Thanks,

Hello JohnRo,
Thanks for the input, but I think this solution is not suitable for us, because it is not DHCP capable as manual says:
"You cannot configure secondary IP addresses in the DHCP server. For the hosts on the secondary subnets, you must manually configure the IP addresses, gateway IP address, and DNS server IP addresses."
I think a FVS318G or FVS318N could be enough for our needs in one single product.
Thanks and regards,
Cristian

Hi cosac,
I see, are you planning to connect another router/firewall to the FVS336G?
Thanks,
