IPv6 WAN PR60x

First of all, hi it must be the first time i cannot find my answer on the forum for years.

So thanks for all the times i found the help i needed without asking.

But after about 15 years using netgear products I think i found some bugs very dispointing on my last product the PR60X

Also im not an IT pro just a "fan"

First the ssh isnt working after activating with

Cannot connect with insight password, i also tried with the defaut password

Second nowhere in insight you can find the ipv6 local link ( which i found by sending a diag by email.. )

Third neither in insght or in web management you can configure the ipv6 prefixe... and since i cannot use ssh.

How is that possible to configure a wan ipv6 for the network devices ?

I did not have those problem with the MS510TXUP for ipv6 but i wanted to add a fail over wan to my setup.

( Im using the isp box "bridged" with a full ip stack ).

Again i'm not a pro so i may have missed something important.

  • Hi Jimbo,

The SSH or SDM is for tech support use only.

Currently PR60X does not support IPv6 on WAN or LAN, it is on roadmap for future firmware update.

    Best Regards,

    z

      Thanks for the answer c3po2.
They should add ssh login to it too for next update.
Why should it work only the "old" ms510txup and not on the new product ?

Its often faster to log on shh rather than click on all web gui settings to launch a ping...

I think i can live without ipv6 for the next few month.
I was never very confortable configuring it anyway.

Thanks for havind added wireguard on the last firmwire, it works great  ( ipsec is such a pain when you often change network ).

Any idean when we could see ip6 support and maybe dot or doh support too instead of ip based dns.

Even if I'm not in a hurry it would be cool to have an idea ( weeks, months maybe never ? )

For now i'm using dnsproxy coupled with adguard-home to do such.
