1. FVS336G is at the max on throughput but otherwise still should do job. Unless you are ready to upgrade to faster broadband above 50 then look for model that has more throughput.
2. If currently working then I would leave it along. Most Wifi AP handles 25 devices on AP so if you are using too much on one AP I would add more to system to split the connection .
I personally use open-mesh products and uses 3 of in my 2500sq ft house to blast around. Works very well. open-mesh.com
