Which gbit product models netgear offer now? which price for licenses and updates ? annual? another periods?

Any other features (beyond GbE, and no VPN) you need?
Licenses and/or annual charges apply to features like Anti-Virus, Application Patrol, IDP, Content Filtering, E-Mail Anti-Spam to mention a some examples.
