Access point to existing R9000
I am in need of a ceiling mounted access point with poe. What models are compatible with my existing R9000 router? Can the access point use the same SSID as the R9000? Thanks in advance!
Can you use the same ssid as the R9000? sure.
Will it integrate like a mesh system and offer seamless roaming? Nope.
the R9000 isn't a mesh router/system. You can use the same ssid but devices will tend to be "sticky" and not roam like they would in a mesh system.
In terms of POE access points, you can view the netgear business access points that'll have some models that support POE. There's a filter to filter out those that doesn't support poe.
