AP compatible with C6250 router or is there a better option?

The WAX214/218 are non-insight managed. I've used the WAX218 without issues.
Or you could switch to a newer system. with xfinity doing all their "next gen" upgrades, upgrading the modem isn't a bad plan too. the C6250 is an older/slower modem.
Thanks for your help! I am open to switching to a newer modem if necessary. I am not very knowledgeable on this subject. If I get the WAX218 I'm assuming that I would have to manually switch to the stronger connection depending on where i am at in the house, since it is not managed? Would a newer modem setup allow active management without a subscription or do most active systems require a subscription regardless?
The problem is you want POE.
there isn't a mesh poe system from netgear.

If you wish to connect your TV via wireless and you have plenty of walls blocking the way coming from the router you may also find it difficult to connect wireless also on access point since the signals are being blocked by walls. It may work if you could ran a wire near the TV and place your access point to that location where the TV can somehow get signal from the access point and have it connected. You may share a simple floor plan of your house if that is okay with you so we can provide a better advice in deploying your access point.
