License Key Activation fail on WC7500

Hi there,

i want to activate the "5 more AP" license, but only getting an error.

Device: Netgear Prosafe WC7500

Firmware Version 6.5.1.8

Always getting: "Key Status - Connection Failed"

Firewall should not be the thing.

I could upload the Log files if needed.

Would be glad for help!

Thanks, Bernd

    bpete,

    Welcome to the community! :)

The firmware of your WC7500 is way too old.  I suggest you to upgrade the firmware to the latest version which is v6.5.5.24 but be sure to follow the firmware upgrade instructions stated here

Since you want to activate 5 more APs, I'm sure you were able to activate an AP license key before. It might be possible that something is blocking the WC7500 from reaching the update server such as a firewall or proxy server.  Are there any changes in your network setup or internet connection/subscription?

Let me share the article below and it might help:

How to add a license key on ProSAFE Wireless Controller Models WC7520, WC7500, WC7600, WC7600v2, and...

    Regards,
