Smart Wizard Discovery for Wireless Access Points
Is there a tool to find wireless access points on a network like there is for smart switches?
I have a WAC730 that after configuring and installing into its location I can no longer connect to. I've tried the IP address from a couple different computers and browsers (just in case) and cannot connect to it. The browser just times out.
Any ideas? I'm going to take it down tomorrow and probably reset it but was hoping to avoid that if possible.
Thanks,
Jessica

Check your router DHCP table or the routers attached device for the WAC730 MAC address and IP. No discoverey available AFAIK.What is AFAIK? And what router are you referring to?
The internet comes inthrough the cable modem and attaches to a switch. All of the access points are also attached to that single switch: GS724TS. I thought there was as way to see which IP addresses were attached to that switch but I'm not finding that either.
Thanks,
Jessica

AFAIK as far as I know ...
Where ever your network DHCP server is run, typical home, SOHO, and small networks on the router, in bigger environments e.g. on a server (like Windows AD), or on a L3 a switch.
Best guess is that your cable modem is much more than a modem - handling the NAT routing, DHCP et all for your LAN. this might be the first point to investigate.
Switches don't care much about IP addresses - it's mainly MAC based. Some L2+ switches maintain an ARP table - but this will only be updated if there is IP traffic direct from/to the WAC.
