WAX605 not showing mesh options

We have quite a few WAX605 units (firmware 10.8.8.7). We are following the documentation for these devices on how to set up mesh networking but the mesh option does not display for these devices in the Insight Cloud or the app.

 

We also have several WAX615 units and have no problem configuring mesh on these devices.

 

We've doubled checked documentation, firmware, and compatibility lists. All mention mesh or say the WAX605 is supposedly mesh capable. Any thoughts/ideas on what we may be missing?

    Hi pgarrett 

     

    WAX605 indeed supports MESH configuration when managed via Insight. It can also MESH with WAX615 when added to the same Insight location.

     

    Can you please confirm if the WAX605 APs are added in the same location as WAX615 and still you see the issue? Which AP model is the ROOT device?

     

    If WAX605 is added to a newly created location, may be you can check if the location wide MESH setting is enabled. Please check the link below for more information.

      We have checked the issue internally and did not face any issue with MESH feature. Please open a support ticket and we can debug this further.

      We are managing the devices via Insight. We have tried with the cloud version and the app. I made an error in my original post. The other devices are WAX610 units, not WAX615.

       

      We added them to the same staging network as some of our WAX610 units. The root is a WAX610. Mesh is turned on for the staging network (mesh works for the WAX610s in the same location).

       

      We even tried creating a location for just the WAX605 units. No change. Mesh turned on for both locations. The 'Mesh Topology' option does not appear for the WAX605 devices. (see attached image).
