WAX620 unstable connection
My setup is:
- SDSL modem (Proximus) with built in router, acts as DHCP, internal wifi shut off
- Netgear POE+ 5 port switch
- Netgear WAX620 AP, setup as access point, in Root Mode, changed Wifi channels because of many networks around
Problem: normal surfing on a computer is OK, might sometimes block for a few seconds but is OK, PING and Speedtests show no problems. The problem is mainly with Android: only surfing over Chrome is working OK, all data that is needed for apps is blocked.
Newspaper apps: text loads after +-10 seconds, photo's never load.
Amazon, Coolblue and other webshop apps: can open but stop working saying no internet
Whatsapp: switches to 4G on the phone as no internet is detected
Gmail app on Android: can't send any email out (problems syncing), receiving emails sometimes
And so on...
I have in the mesh also a WAX615, works as extender only, same issue.
I tried already:
- Switching channels & frequencies
- Taking away the switch and power with a POE+ injector
- Resetting to factory settings and setting up again
- Set the 615 as Root and keep away the 620
Now I am out of ideas and can only thing to throw it all away and put Ubiquity stuff in...
Any suggestions or idea's?

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Business Wireless - NETGEAR Communities
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- schumakuGuru - Experienced User
About the last thing I would consider is to deploy in a dense WiFi area is a Mesh. With a single LAN connected WAX620 (or for a test the WAX615 with it's 160 MHz channel bandwidth on 2x2), I would start with disabling the Mesh feature and re-test.

The problems existed already without Mesh. I hoped adding the 615 would have solved.
So just a simple AccessPoint mode with LAN cable direct attached didn't solve it.
I might try the 615 as Access Point only to determine if that is the problem!
The 160 Mhz 2 x 2, where can I check that setting?
