WN370 WAP

Hi

I know these devices are EoL but can anyone tell me the final firmware build for them I am on 6.0.1.0_3875 but the Netgear website only gives out the initial build 4.0.0.19.  If I need to upgrade these it would be good before they disappear over the horizon.  Any advice gratefully received

Cheers

Ian

  • Update the WC7500 controller to v6.5.5.24 (the AP firmware will follow).

    NOTE:

CUSTOMERS UPDATING CONTROLLER FROM 6.0.1.X FIRMWARE MUST UPDATE TO THE MIGRATION FIRMWARE (6.0.1R.1) FIRST BEFORE UPDATING TO 6.5.5.18 RELEASE

If you have the WAC720 or WAC730 in your Controller network

    1. Update the controller to 6.0.1R.1 firmware, which is bundled together with the 6.5.5.18 release zip file.
    2. Once the update is complete, login to the controller, and make sure that all the APs are in the connected state.
    3. You MUST wait for at least 15 minutes after all APs have reached the connected state before proceeding.
    4. After waiting for 15 minutes, update the controller to 6.5.5.18 firmware.
    5. Once the update is complete, log in to the controller and make sure all the APs have come to the connected state, so that clients are able to connect to the network, and the controller network is up and running.
      Current Firmware Version Upgrade Steps
      WC7500-6.0.1.X 6.0.1.X -> 6.0.1R.1 -> 6.5.5.18

If you do NOT have the WAC720 or WAC730 in your controller network

      1. If you do not have the WAC720 or WAC730 in your controller network, you can skip the migration firmware release, and directly update the controller from 6.0.1.x to 6.5.5.18.

There WAP WN370 used to be managed by one of the WC7600, WC9500, WC7600v2, or WC7500 wireless controllers probably.

Well possible there was different AP firmware distributed by the controller updates, the downloadable firmware is for some kind of a standalone operation mode only.

Can't find any reference to the named 6.0.1.0_3875.

Sorry for the delay.  I am managing the WN370's though the wc7500.  However if I log directly into the WAP itself and look at the firmware version that is where I am picking up the 6.0.1.0_3875.

If you log into the WN370, look at Configuration then it shows the current build

      Thanks
