wndap660 two lans?

I have recently purchased a wndap660 which says it is multiple input multiple output.

it has two lan ports, i was hoping i could run two Lans via different wifi networks.

is this achievable? if so could someone point me in the right direction to do this as i cannot seem to find those options to assign networks to certain lan

thanks!

I would review the online user manual information regarding this to see if this is supported.

      hey,

I did, and I couldn't see a lot about the reason for it having 2 lan ports.

it just says all can be used to connect. dont know if its to use to send back out to wired devices, as a backup, or for second networks.

thats why I've come to here 🙂

I don't have one of these though sometimes having a extra LAN port on the back just means you can connect up an extra device like a PC or laptop or probably daisy chain these with another AP down the line if they were to be ethernet connected. If you don't see any references to separate networks or dual lans, then probably something that's not supported.

The multiple input/mulitple output (mimo) is a wireless spec to increase throughput.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIMO

Not for connecting to different wireless networks and assigning them to different lans.

what you're trying to accomplish isn't possible with that device.

A section given over to General WiFi Routers is probably not the best place for deep details on this ProSAFE® Business 2 x 2 Dual Band Wireless-AC Access Point.

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
