Mein Orbi hat wie immer gemeldet, dass es keine neue Firmware gibt, aber auf den amerikanischen Netgear-Seiten findet sich dann doch eine neue Firmware mit der Versionsnummer 2.3.0.28. Hat die schon einmal jemand ausprobiert? Ist ja immer ein wenig heikel mit den Firmwareupdates bei den Orbis.

Ich habe ein RBK40-System, das ich um einen RBS20 erweitert habe. Für beide ist die neue Firmware verfühbar. Bisher betreibe ich die Kombi mit Version 2.2.1.210. Ich frage mich nur, warum die Firmware-Update-Funktion noch nie eine neue Version gefunden hat. Das scheint eine reine Placebo-Funktion zu sein.

Habe jetzt einmal das Update auf die neue Version 2.3.0.28 gewagt. Auffällig (und positiv) war schon einmal, dass sich Router und die drei Satelliten automatisch gefunden haben und keine übliche Fummelei (Ausschalten/Einschalten etc.) nötig war.Auch ist eine kaskadierende Verbindung zustandegekommen, es hängen also nicht alle Staelliten direkt am Router. Ich bin gespannt wie sich die neue Firmware im Betrieb zeigen wird, aber bisher bin ich positiv überrascht.
