Disable Auto-Trunk on a PER-PORT basis on M4250 AVline Managed Switch

Is there a way to disable Auto-Trunk on a PER-PORT basis?

I work in the concert touring industry providing live video systems, and we have several M4250 AV Line switches in our average production rig. They are all using Auto-Trunk and I am quite happy with the feature in general.

I do occasionally run into problems when I need to interface with another team that is also using AV Line switches with Auto-Trunk enabled. We typically only need to share a single LAN over a single ethernet cable. So ideally I would like to turn off Auto-Trunk on this single port rather than disabling globally and setting everything up manually on every switch.

      Hello,

Correct, Auto-Trunk is enabled at the platform level on M4250/M4300/M4350/M4500, and that is a good thing.

But we still can disable Auto-Trunk on a PER-PORT level, manually:

Here is the workaround you want to use:

      1. Disable LLDP transmit on port can stop send auto-trunk to peer device by port level.

      2. Disable LLDP receive on port to reject peer device auto-trunk by port level.

You can do it in the IT GUI, but even easier using the CLI (AV UI Diagnostics\Terminal) in your browser:
