M4250-26G4F-PoE++ - No opening browser nor AV UI - only USB Connection

Hi ! Any Netgear Specialist who could help us?

We could just get access once to this switch . It has a qscsystems pass and we wanted to change the pass.

It is an M4250-26G4F-PoE++ .

This switch had 13.0.2.21 Firmware version and AV UI version 1.0.6.6

We did a Factory Reset by browser and then was impossible to get into the switch.

We tried to access by USB by putty because we have ping but not browser neither AV UI. But with no exit

What should it be the procedure to have access and see the browser and the AV UI again?

If correct, this version must be extremely old.

Interesting enough, on a brief check of the

M4250-26G4F-PoE++ download center, I can't find such a version at all, so the more I suspect this is a QSC specific firmware.

Potentially a factor for having lost the management access (Web, and AV UI:  Had attempted updating to the current NETGEAR or the last Q-Sys supported firmware release probably?

There were major changes introduced on the earlier days, look here:

    https://kb.netgear.com/000065602/M4250-Firmware-Version-13-0-4-13

When looking-up Q-Sys FMI, we find that only defined NETGEAR firmware versions are supported with the (proprietary?) Q-Sys configuration files - all relative old, dated from Summer 2025:

    https://support.qsys.com/en_US/awareness/awareness-%7C-ns-series-gen-2-switch-current-supported-firmware-and-q-sys-config-version

And exactly that latest Q-Sys supported NETGEAR firmware I had referred above introduced  a lot of changes - prohibiting a simple "just update to the current version" approach.

Have you heard from Q-Sys Support in the meantime?

The first line for support of QSC switches (manufactured by Netgear) remains with Q-SYS.

Log in to the QSC Support Portal using your QSC ID. This will allow you to view your current status and communicate with your assigned support technician as needed.

As the NETGEAR Community, we don't know what special configurations like a qscpassword or the like might be in place.

What does output does the serial console port (convenient implemented as a USB Port) give you?
