NDI + Dante
Hi everyone,
I'm new here.
Has someone ever tried to run NDI and Dante concurrently in the same VLAN using the Video NDI5 with Dante, Q-SYS, or AES67 audio profile template?
The description of the template states: Use this template to connect the switch to NDI Version 5 (RUDP) video devices and cameras. Audio Dante, Audio Q-SYS, and Audio AES67 templates can be used at the same time in the same VLAN.
This concerns a small TV studio where video is strictly NDI and audio is strictly Dante.
All devices are connected to a AV M4250-40G8XF-PoE++ (GSM4248UX) network switch (40x1G PoE++ 2,880W and 8xSFP+ Managed Switch). Currently there is one NDI VLAN and one Dante VLAN. All NDI devices support NDI5 (RUDP) and later. For the sake of simplicity and also because some devices that should be connected to both VLANs as well as to a third network with Internet access) don't have enough NICs, I'd like to try to merge everything into the same VLAN. But I'm quite doubtful it would work without any issue. So if anyone has an experience to share, I'd be grateful to read it.
Cheers!
