Firwmare update puzzles (SRR60)
I have a couple of firmware update problems with my Orbi SRR60 router. 1. The Insight iOS app says that there is a new version avaiable, 2.5.4.104. Router is currently at 2.5.3.110. When I try to up...

Hi Scott,
Avoid to jump around between different management and modes ...

Use the Insight App and disable the scheduled automatic update. It's (from wally brain) somewhere at Location -> Config/Firmware Management -> Firmware -> Scheduled update
Now you should be able to push the new firmware off the schedule.
The update is required for compatibility with the current Insight 5.11 environment -> https://kb.netgear.com/000062516/SRR60-Firmware-Version-2-5-4-104

Firmware availability on the Netgear side can be on a different schedule. Either the 2.5.4.104 was not made available yet for this channel, or it's distribution was postponed.

Just a guess - as I have no SRx60 system at hand: This is because the device is under Insight management which does have priority.
BScottB wrote:Side question: why is there no entry for the SRR60 in the "Model" entry form when creating a new forum post?
We can't buy standalone SRR60 routers out here - they have added SRK60xxxx kits to the product list here why ever. ChristineT pls add this standlone switch model (and the SRS60 satellites) please.

Hi Kurt,
Thank you, that's all very helpful. I'm sad that Netgear doesn't make sure their tools align with each other, or at least tell you in one tool that another tool is in control.
You were correct about the locatoin in the app of where to change the scheduled update to manual.
Thanks again,
Scott
