Today I connected a raspberry pi using wire connection with the network interface using the following configuration - default vlan 1 - trunk
Can you please provide the configuration used on the Pi for the eth0 port?
When devices are connected to the wired Ethernet ports on the router, there is no need to specify a VLAN. The Pi is in Vlan 1 by default.

Hi, thanks for your answer.
My eth0 is using static ip with no vlan configuration.
I am having the same exact problem with my macbook using dhcp. And also a philips hue bridge. It can’t get internet when connected to my router (wire) but it’s working on my satellite. I am starting to think my router switch never worked properly. I made a factory reset on my router this afternoon and it’s still the same.
For information I configured my pppoe using vlan35 (Bell Canada) in my wan interface. It’s directy connected to the fiber using a fiber/rj converter. I have no idea if it could have an impact. Maybe I should try to use the router as AP to see if the result is the same

If nothing works on the router Ethernet ports, then it very well may be a mechanical fault.
Just to "double check", in the past, I have messed up static IP configurations by:
- Picking the wrong subnet. i.e. Orbi is usually 192.168.1.x for the primary network.
- Using the wrong subnet mask. Orbi is 255.255.255.0
- Defining the wrong gateway IP. i.e. 192.168.1.1 should be the primary network gateway.
The Orbi Pro series offers more complexity than the residential products (and perhaps more chances to mess up).
I am much more comfortable reserving IPs in the LAN setup table than defining static IPs on devices.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
using dhcp or static ip is giving me the same result.
When my raspberry is connected with ethernet to the router (192.168.1.2). My laptop can reach it from wifi from the same network and also from wifi on another network (SSID using vlan 10). I can connect using ssh.
That's why I feel it very weird, my lan is working well, however, when the device using ethernet from the router try to reach internet, it's not working (browsing internet with macbook or apt update with raspberry).
It's like there is no logic that's why I'm opening the topic, I can't find it 🙂

What a puzzle!
- Devices connected to the satellite, both wired and WiFi, can do everything
- Access other devices on the LAN, including devices wired to the router
- Access the internet
- Devices connected to the router WiFi can do everything (LAN and internet)
- Devices connected to the router wired ports can access LAN resources, but not the internet
Are the router VLAN settings "default"? (zero configuration changes)

Was this the case when you bought it? Guess I should say, does that apply in Canada?
