my laptop does not support wifi 6. I also tried splitting wlan 2 and just connecting to 5g.....no difference. I am not using wifi between satellite and base. I am testing with just one device connected to the Orbi. The orbi should be able to handle 500/500 5g. All tests done with ookla (web).

WiFi5 has a maximum theoretical link speed of 867Mbps, which translates into an effective speed quite a bit less.

I'd suggest some internet research, such as https://www.increasebroadbandspeed.co.uk/realistic-speeds-wi-fi-5-and-wi-fi-6

Perhaps someone with an SXR30 and fast ISP connection will report their results as a comparison.

Thanks for the input.....but the same laptop connects to my ISP router on 5g and speed tests at 490/490. This is an issue with the Orbi (design/settings/.....)

  ghstudio no idea what you want to show or proof with this complete unreal theoretical numbers. Spotted to much marketing? There numbers are unreal, 8x8 and even 4x4 AP are a rare goods, even most wireless clients are 2x2, very few older ones 3x3.
