Thanks, that mirrors what I've read. I saw the original post but was hoping newer firmware had addressed the issue. Doesn't look like it based on that latest post.

In AP mode mDNS feature is grayed out meaning not applicable, So we have to make it work using upper router .
Where as you can define vlans in AP mode, But should have dhcp server running in upper router.

Dear Basavaran,
As I said before: More than strange Netgear does support mDNS on the Insight managed WAX then. This explanation does not make any sense to me. hnagaraju please.

WAX and Orbi Pro are different product line and have different implementation.
Theoretically, in AP mode, it needs upper router help forward multicast across VLANs.
Or, use Orbi Pro in router mode.
