As another user with the same setup I can suggest the following as it took me some time to get it working:
1: remove any and all traces of Insights - buggy mess - use a browser - your sanity will thank me.
2: start with just one satellite first get it stable on this. Then add second satellite.
3: Don't use any VLANs just yet - I have been working with Netgear mods on this one - there is a confirmed issue with Satellite sync with 2 or more units - the standard single vlan is fine.
Should mention I use this in AP mode as the router functions are far too limited.

Thank you for the response.
I am using the devices in AP mode, and as I actually purchased two pairs of (1) SXR80 and (1) SXS80 (4 units total) I have been using the two SXR80's hardwired as access points, and for the last week or so since I first posted, the network has been rock solid.
It's good to know about the VLAN bug - that sounds like what was causing a great deal of my issues - as adding any satellite to this configuration wreaks havoc. That said, these will be going back to the retailer as I've simply spent too much time troubleshooting, and they are unable to operate as advertised - to provide me with a mixed wired and wireless mesh network with multiple VLAN's.
