SXR80 under warranty, but end of life

I did find out that if the product is still under warranty, Netgear will repair or replace, as long as we meet the criteria.
If your NETGEAR product has reached end of life but is still under warranty and malfunctioning, you can follow these steps to address the issue:
- Verify Warranty Eligibility: Ensure that your product was purchased from an authorized NETGEAR reseller and you have proof of purchase, as warranty coverage is only valid for products bought from authorized resellers.
- Request a Return Material Authorization (RMA):
- Prepare for Shipment:
- Replacement Process: NETGEAR will ship the replacement product by ground with prepaid shipping charges. Expedited shipping is available at an extra cost.
- Warranty on Replacement Unit: The warranty on the replacement unit continues from the original date of purchase and is extended for the number of days the product was out of your hands for warranty repairs.
Ours still function - but only sub-optimally. I mean, we now have products (same as you) that will never be updated and have known issues that directly impact the products performance / capabilities according to Netgear. Theoretically, that SHOULD constitute "malfunctioning" and therefore make the products eligible for replacement. Shouldn't it?
I went ahead and engaged fully with Support. Netgear did RMA our malfunctioning router with a refurbished one. Beats a sharp stick in the eye to be sure. Not 100% sure yet whether this resolved all our issues, but be greatly appreciate the support from Netgear.
