How to stop RAX120 keeps blocking my streaming service

I have recently purchased the RAX120 router and experienced an issue.

I'm constantly using a streaming service from https://tw.iqiyi.com

And Netgear Armor keeps blocking the streaming URL, here's an example:

http://210.61.180.68/cdnetworksoversea.inter.iqiyi.com/videos/v0/20200414/67/87/29dc23e63ee1742e0e3113c05d.265.ts

This is blocked by Netgear Armor and identified as "Malware".

However, as you can see it is a video stream served from CDN and the IP and URL will be changed if I'm watching different video content.

I have set up Trusted IP in Advanced > Security > Block Sites but not working.

Anyone know how to fix this? I don't want to just turn off Netgear Armor.

In Bitdefender installed on Windows under Notificaitons is the block listed there and are you allowed to "Add to Exceptions"?

No, sorry I didn't make it clearer. I'm watching the videos on my iPhone and the video was halted in a while. And when I check the Nighthawk Wifi app, I realize the URL that I shared above was blocked and identified as Malware.

I assume this is blocked by Netgear Armor coming along with my RAX120.

  • Yes, it appears to be blocked by Bitdefender. You'll have to write support at Bitdefender if it is a false positive to see if they app will let it through.

I guess you could also try to disable the protection and see if it lets you access that site?

I tried to disable the Netgear Armor but unfortunately I can't find a way to do it. There's no option on the RAX120 admin console that I can disable it. It just says ENABLED.

I checked the discussions, and appeartly Orbi users can disable it via their Orbi app. But I just can't find such an option on my Nighthawk Wifi app for RAX120.

It would be great if you can shed some light on this.

Armor has its own bolt hole:

You might do better to try there.
