Desktop Application Netgeargenie will not except any password attempts
I can access my router through the browswer no problem!!!
My modem was replaced due to faulty previous one.
When I launch the Desktop Appliacation Netgear Genie no password will work.
I have tried an previouse parental control password ... no good
Tried default and no good
Tried the one on the router ... no good
I have searched the hard drive trying to find where password might live to no avail.
I have a teenager in the house and trying to limit access and access times ....
Nothing works and the browser version does not give me parental control rights.

Hi doxa2u,
You can try to change the LPC (Live Parental Controls) password through the forgot password option if you have access to the email that you have registered. You can go to https://netgear.opendns.com/sign_in.php.

No go ... it is useless ... nothing works ... I can go on line through a browser and access the router. But I cannot access the parental controls through Genie app .. also I cannot access router settings through Genie App. I can go to the router, 192.168.1.1 and put in admin and default password .. no problem .. Genie app is useless cannot access through it
