Linux 17 and netgear wnd3100 usb
I just built a Linux 17 box and am using a Netgear wnda3100 usb wifi adapter. Everytime i try to cnnect to my wifi which is a netgear genie; it prompts me for a password. I put in the correct wifi password but it keeps prompting me for it. However; I can connect to my neighbors wifi no problem. Is it s Linux thing?

Hi Aaviles769,
1. Have you tried changing the wireless password of your network?
2. Have you tried changing the security mode (WPA/WPA2)?
3. Have you tried disabling the WiFi password for your network for isolation purposes?
4. Are there other wireless devices in your network that can connect to your router?

Thanks Dexter for your follow up. But still having the issue. I reset my NETGEAR GENIE WIFI Router and setup a NEW SSID name and WPA password and still no issues. There MUST Be some incompatibility with my Linux 17 OS and using a NETGEAR WNDA3100 USB wifi adapter becuase it DOES CONNECT TO MY NEIGHBORS WIFI and they are using Centurylink Prism. The USB Wifif adater is fine meaning that I have used is usccessfully on my wifi network when used witha Windows 10 PC so I know the adapter is good.
On my newly built Linux 17 PC, it see my wifi network and prompts for a password, I enter it correctly and it goes away and then prompts me again. weird
