Netgear genie app features
Having issues getting the network map feature to work properly, within the netgear genie app. Not 100% if the model/serial number makes a difference here or not

You refer to the genie. This could be one of several things, the browser interface, a Windows or Mac application, or an Android iThing app.

Any idea on how to remedy this?- michaelkenwardGuru - Experienced User

You have told us very little. We don't know what hardware you have. If it has the latest firmware. What you can do with the genie.
All we do know is that you can't get the the network map feature to work properly. We don't even know what you mean by "properly".
- TrichromeAspirantRouter model WNDR4300
Firmware. V1.0.1.60
Genie version 3.1.38
The app seems to be working fine save for the network map. By not working properly, I mean it does not show me the devices connected to my router. Tried a few things like reset the router via genie app, reinstalling the app, logging out and back in, and refreshing a number of times while waiting a considerable amount of time.- michaelkenwardGuru - Experienced User

If you use the browser interface, you might see that stuff as Attached Devices.
- TrichromeAspirantForgive me ignorance, but I assumed when an app was not performing it's functions, it was not working properly. But I would still like to think that you want to help me out. Where do I view this network map in the browser interface? How do I access this "expert" to "unravel" this.

Attached Devices has its own button in BASIC settings. It also has an Attached Devices button on the "home page".
There you will find a table of Wired Devices, 2.4G Wireless Devices (Wireless intruders also show up here) and 5G Wireless Devices (Wireless intruders also show up here).
If you look at the table it may give some clues as to why the genie ignores some devices.
It would be nice if it also created a map. Perhaps in the next version of the web interface.
