Netgear Genie can't login username password WNDR3400
So I recently did a hard restore on my router to set it back to the factory defaults and now I cannot login using the default username and password aka "admin" & "password". The screen below shows up and then once I kit "OK" it says "Login failed, Please check the password". This happens whether I am using the Genie application or the http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com pages using Chrome, Mozilla or Internet Explorer. the router works and the internet works on it, but I cannot change any settings because I cannot login. I have also tried to do this by being hardwired through the ethernet cable and wirelessly on two differnet computers with the same result. Someone please help.

Hi doclouie,
1. What is the model number and firmware version of the router?
2. You may not have properly reset the router. Does your old router password work (if you changed it before)?
3. You can try resetting the router again. You may find the link below helpful.

1. N750 Wireless Dual Band Model WNDR4300
2. No the old password or default "password" does not work.
3. I have reset this router at least 3-4 times and I have tried it on both my home desktop, home laptop and a friends desktop with the same issue.
I put in the default "admin" and "password" ant the text box flashes and the information that I put in disappears and it says the username and password are incorrect. It is at the factory default.
I am ready to throw the router in the garbage and go with a different company. Crazy as I have only bought netgear routers.
- ReenyAspirantIm having the same problem i used to be sble to login to netgear genie on my iphone app with default password "password" but now it says incorrect password. Its like someone has chsnged my password on me.

3. Please try using another device with the NETGEAR Genie app/program installed.
4. Try changing your router password.
