DNS Problems with Mesh VPN

Hello Everyone! 

I currently have a nighthawk netgear mesh system (MR60) and was able to setup a VPN through open VPN. I am able to connect to the network externally fine at this point in time. I am able to then connect to my PC though my IP address through Microsoft RDP app on my phone which is great however I have a use to be able to connect to my PC by its name. Has anyone had any luck with doing this? I heard it is a DNS issue however I am unsure how to resolve this with the router settings!

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
