IPv6 - cannot change the setting
I am having an issue with making the router use IPv6 and changing the setting in the DumaOS router login software. I go to Settings>Advanced settings>IPv6 and there the internet connection type is set to DISABLED.
So I change it to Auto Detect. It goes through it's process and can see the status bar doing something but when it's done, it still says DISABLED. I've tried Auto Detect, Pass Through and Auto Config. All with the same results. I hate to hear the words "factory reset", so I'd like to avoid that if possible. Have I done the process correctly?, is there something else that needs to be done first before that change can be made to stick? It seemed like a pretty simple process.
I will list the things that I have done and checked before coming here to ask for help.
* checked the forum for similar issue on this router type
* Modem reset
* confirmed up to date firmware XR1000 1.0.0.64_1.0.49
* verified my PC has networking properties > IPv6 internet protocol is checked
* ran ipconfig and verified that there is a local IPv6 address shown
* called Spectrum and confirmed that I do have IPv6 ability and nothing needs to be done on their end.
* ran IPv6 test at test-ipv6.com ( anything to do with IPv6 is bad )
I have several screenshots showing test results and the page in DumaOS where to change the setting and for Auto Detect it says Router's IPv6 Address On WAN not available
And the same for LAN
Thanks in advance,

Attempting to change to IPv6 setting on a wired network
Might give newer FW a try:
Load it up, factory reset and set up from scratch. I might give the Ipv6 setting a try with out the router connected to the ISP modem. See if the setting will persist after enabling it using FireFox browser. If it does, then connect the router to the ISP modem.

Whos your ISP?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What browser are you using? Happens with different browsers? Try MS Edge or Firefox?

ISP is Spectrum
Modem is Spectrum's modem model # EU2251 Docsis 3.1 eMTA, no brand name found on modem
Using Google browser, then attempted as per your reply on Firefox = same results and Microsoft Edge = 404 not found after many attempts.

Thanks for the info. I will pause this attempt to do a factory reset for a few days. My wife is working from home the next two days and will need the internet and with my luck I will end up breaking something. Been there , done that before.
I understand there is a way to back up settings before factory resetting ? I will have to look in that. I'm sure I can back it up and as long as there is instructions to restore, I'll be all set.
I will reply in a few days with my results.
Thanks
