XR1000 Help

I had recently purchased the XR1000. Really wished I would have done a little more research before buying. I've been through multiple threads trying to fix these issues and nothing seems to help and apparently I'm not the only one with these problems, so I'm only left to assume this product is straight **bleep** and hoping someone could help change that.

Router worked well as far as I know for like a day. After that I cannot connect to Dumos at all. I've had to reset and input SN about 15 times because it does not recognize anything and will not connect to the router even though some Wi-Fi equipment still gets internet, but not all. cuts out when ever it feels like it. Cant use any of the features correctly except for the ping.

I have updated the Firmware, I've reset everything multiple times, I ran with and without my VPN incase that was the issue. I've tried everything I could think of to get this to run correctly. At max I've gotten a day of solid Wi-Fi then straight garbage after that. certain programs wont even work and tell me I have no internet when I am getting it on other devices that aren't hardlined in that exact moment with no issues.

If anyone has any kind of ideas that I haven't tried yet it would be greatly appreciated before this thing turns into a 300$ paperweight.

Do you have the v1 or v2 version of the XR1000?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

What browser are you using? MS Edge or Firefox is recommended.

Be sure to clear out all browser caches before entering the routers web page.

What WiFi devices are you connecting?

What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

I've had XR1000 online before for over two weeks. Solid router and solid operation. Thought mines a v1 model and not a v2. Not sure about a v2 though shouldn't be too much difference.

  • In addition to the above are you using Armor? Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes before accessing and see if it works better then please.
