XR500 Gaming Router Playstation 4 showing as offline

Hello All,

I have seen some post regarding this issue. One of the solutions was to reboot the router. This does work, however, I end up rebooting my router at least once a day.  This only started after the most recent firmware  update. Does anyone have a permanent fix or does anyone know if Netgear is aware of this issus and is working on a fix ?

Thanks!

  • I believe the team are aware, if you downgrade to .32 do you still see the issue?

    What FW is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

How is the PS connected to the router? Wired or wireless?

Set a reserved IP address ON the router for the PS?

Hi and thanks for the reply.

      The firmware is 2.3.2.40

I own the cable modem and it is a zoom cable modem 3.0

I have 2 ps4's and both are hardwired. One goes through a switch and the other is connected directly to the router. Both have the same behavior.

I did set a static IP on one of the ps4's but it did not make a difference.

Does the modem have a built in router?

Remove the static IP address from the PS.

Set RESERVED IP addresses for the PS consoles ON the router.

What is the mfr and model of the switch your using?

Do the game consoles connect to the internet and the gaming services ok?
