What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too? Has a factory reset been performed after updating to v40 then setup from scratch? How are you determining these issues? The download software is BitComet. Download for about 20 hours. XR500 Problems arise. Previous versions did not have this problem.previous versions contained security vulnerabilities.

Would need to find out modem model information. updating FW does NOT restore factory resetings.

After the update is completed. I manually restore the factory settings. I don't feel related to ISP modem model. Because this network is provided by the company. When the Internet lights are orange. management pages can't get in. When the Internet is white. the management page enters normally.

Reason for asking about model# is to check for model information about the modem your using and nat abilities. What prior versions of FW worked for you? Has a factory reset been performed after updating to v40 then setup from scratch?

What does long term uninterrupted download mean? Are you having problems with downloads? Would need more details on this?

You might revert to v32 and see if anything is different.

    Are we talking about the first problem (anti-bufferbloat) or the second problem (can't access interface)?
