Orbi App can’t find router.

Our internet went out two days ago. We tried everything we could on our end but our broadband provider is going to check it out on Monday.

The Orbi app on my iphone cannot find the router.  We powered off and restarted the router, hit the reset button on the back, powered off then on the satellite.  I deleted the Orbi app on my phone and reloaded it.  It still says cannot locate the router!

I am connected to our home network, but still no internet until Monday at least and the app still can’t find the router!

I do not know what to do next!

Any suggestions??

  • Does the iPhone WiFi Settings display the WiFi SSID of the Orbi?
(when it comes from the factory, WiFi credentials (SSID/password) are printed on the label - bottom of the case.  Many customers change these credentials during the initial installation.)

If the router WiFi does appear, is the iPhone able to connect to it?

Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

  • Try connecting to the router via Ethernet and see if the app detects it that way. If it still doesn't work, you may need to factory reset the router and satellite (holding the reset button for about 10-15 seconds) and set it up again.
